Hyderabad airport has a very good service of cabs, provided by both Meru and Skycabs. If it is your first visit to Hyderabad, then read below where to find the meru and skycabs service. Logistics prevent us to provide volunteers to receive you at the airport.After picking up your bag at the carousel, walk out of the building (walking past booths like Hertz rental etc ) and you will be at a large pavilion - this is where the people who come to receive others will be waiting. You will also see set of shops like Make Mytrip and Coffee Day in front to you. Walk past them, keeping to your right side. There is an escalator going down at the extreme right end of this pavilion. go down on this escalator and walk straight ahead - you will see a walkway with Meru onto to the right and skycabs to the left. There is a co-ordinator for each of these two who will take your destination details for your safety. Avoid any other taxi service, especially who will stop you before this point and offer taxis.For those who go to Ella hotel - Ask driver to take Financial District Exit from the Ring Road. Ella hotels is at the end of this part, right next door to Indian School of Business (ISB) (Ella hotels and Hill ridge apartments share a common entrance. Your name is already provided to the hotel). On the conference days (19th, 20th and 21st), a bus will pick you up from Ella hotel in the morning and drop you back after the conference is over.For those who need to come to UoH Guest house - Exit Gachibowli from ring road, take left (many taxi drivers ask left or right - right turn takes to Urdu University), travel for about 4 -5 kms. After crossing the Gachibowli Stadium (can't miss the huge entrance), keep looking at left You will cross a small gate of the University first and then come to the main entrance (There is a big board, a sign that says 'UH" and a large flag of india flying)Tell the security that you have come for the conference. Travel straight down till the Guest house. Lake View guest house is onto your left For Tagore House (also SIP, or Study India Program hostel)From Hyderabad Train station
Reaching Hyderabad by a train and getting down at the Hyderabad (Nampally) station would be the easiest way to reach us. The institute is 16km from Nampally railway station. From the railway station one can take a pre-paid cab or pre-paid auto or APSRTC bus (Nos: 216 & 217) to reach IIIT-H.
If one is coming from Secunderabad station which is around 23km from IIIT-H. One can take a pre-paid cab or pre-paid auto or APSRTC bus to Mehdipatnam (Nos:5 & 49M), and another bus from Mehdipatnam to IIIT-H (Nos: 216, 217).
Some trains, especially those coming from Bombay, stop at Begumpet Railway Station which is about 16km from IIIT-H. If you plan to come by bus, take bus No.49M from there to reach Mehdipatnam and then another bus (Nos: 216 & 217) to reach IIIT-H.
Some trains from Mumbai also stop at Lingampalli, which is just 7 kms from IIIT-H. Autorickshaws and shared mini-taxis (tempos) are available.From Hyderabad Bus station
If one is reaching Hyderabad by bus and getting down at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station, then one can reach the campus by pre-paid cab or pre-paid auto or APSRTC bus numbered 216 or 217 (Note: Bus numbers 216K and 216L do not go via the institute campus).

Metered Autos3 wheelers or Autos are fairly popular in Hyderabad. Slightly larger shared-ride 7-seaters will charge by distances, usually Rs.3/- per km. They travel on fixed routes. The smaller 3-seaters are metered and charge Rs.8/- per km (min. Rs.10/-)
